It’s a great pleasure to a part of another year of The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap (2012). It’s that time of the year, a magical time indeed! Hosted by Lindsay from Love and Olive Oil and Julie from The Little Kitchen. This year they have added a new twist to the cookie swap, they are partnering with Cookies for Kid’s Cancer a non profit organization that help fight pediatric cancer. As a cancer patient myself it’s no surprise that I jumped right in and signed up for the Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap 2012. Plus, we all love cookies and we also love giving cookies away to friends and family members, so what better excuse to give even more cookies to three other bloggers. I strongly recommend you go by their site and read the beautiful story behind the creation of Cookies for Kid’s Cancer. This amazing non profit organization supports and inspires individuals, families, communities and business. It’s easier for me to be strong when I’m the one sick, but when my girls are sick (even if it’s a flu), it hurts my heart.

Let me say that I am beyond excited and looking forward to this years cookie swap. If it’s a great excitement to bake cookies and swap with new-to-be friends from all over the US, is even more exciting to receive the email with the names of the 3 bloggers that will be receiving my baked cookies. No, I can’t tell you who they are, not just yet. But, I will, soon…very soon! Plus, I’ll be sharing the cookies I have chosen for my three new friends. There is something you can do now, if you like to, and that is to go over and read about my cookies from last year’s FB Cookie Swap 2012, Cinnamon Caramel Cookie.

Hope you feel inspired to bake some cookies and share with friends/family or even host a cookie swap of your own. Enjoy the giving as much as the getting!

Making memories around the kitchen table and capturing them with my camera is where you’ll find me. Unless I’m boarding a plane or on a road trip somewhere with my girls.
