Baseball Birthday Cake

A very good friend was having family over and one of them is celebrating a birthday. She called me to bake her a cake. I love it when friends support my passion and order cakes and cupcakes. I have the best friends ever! Keep on ordering!

The theme was baseball, apparently he loves the sport and this is what I came up with. Both the ball and bat are made with rice krispie treats and modeling chocolate and the sand is brown and dark brown sugar. The flavor of the cake was a coconut cake with a coconut buttercream coconut flakes filling. It was very moist and delicious.

Not the best light ever in this pictures,
but I do hope you enjoy and
become inspired to bake a cake
and have fun with it too.

Clown Cake

Last month I was introduced to a little girl names Audrey that was turning 10 years old and she was going to be having a birthday party, not just any party, but a surprise party. So I was not supposed to mention anything in front of her. Meeting her made this cake even more special to my heart. She was a very sweet girl, I hope to see her again and make more cakes for her in the future.

The party had lots of bold colors and a clown was going to be there entertaining the kids with face painting, ballon animals and lots of games. I was told it was a real blast.

The clown I came up with was made out of krispie treats and modeling chocolate and the rest of the decorations of the cake were made out of fondant and gum paste.

Hope you all like it as much as I do! Also hope you are inspired and come up with an awesome design of your own.

Happy Birthday Audrey, may God bless you always!

Baby Bag Cake

A dear friend of mines just had a baby girl. This friend is the kind of friend you end up caring for so much that is like a sister. And with that note I will like to send lots of love by this post to a gorgeous little girl named “Maria Isabel”, and may God bless her in abundance everyday.

I have two girls and when a baby in the family is born it brings so many memories to my heart that I can’t help but feeling sentimental. They are growing so fast 🙁

Well, going back to the cake; Maria Isabel was about two weeks old when I made this cake for her sweet mom. It’s a Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting. Some of the decorations are modeling chocolate, others fondant and gum paste. When the baby shower took place the decor was all pink and brown, so I took that as my inspiration.

Wedding Cake Preparations Step #3

A while back I started making some flowers for my sister in laws wedding. Amongst the flowers I made some roses (which I had done in one of my classes from a Wilton Course).

Then there was some ranunculus. Now this ones I had never made before so I decided to try following an online tutorial.

Ending with the making of the flowers I made calla lillies, this ones are her favorite flowers. Searching online I found this great YouTube tutorials from Edna de la Cruz she has made them into four steps from start to finish on how to make this amazing flower.

Online has become my best friend when it comes to doing research for cakes, cookies, flowers and everything in between.

Hope no one is disappointed with the end result.
