Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Milk Chocolate, I used Guittard Chocolate
  • 1/2 cup Extra Dark Chocolate, I used Guittard Chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups Walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup Roasted Pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups Dry Cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons Bee Pollen
  • 2 tablespoons Sea Salt

Instructions

  1. Melt each chocolate in the microwave over 30 seconds increments.
  2. Mix and repeat until all the chocolate is melted and smooth. Note: It usually takes me about two to three tries, depending on the amount of chocolate.
  3. Prep a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Spread the milk chocolate into an even layer. There's no need to cover the entire sheet. You want the chocolate bark to have a certain height.
  5. Top with nuts and dry fruits.
  6. Using a spoon drizzle the melted dark chocolate.
  7. Finally drizzle the bee pollen and sea salt.
  8. Chill to set.
  9. Once set, break into pieces. Enjoy!
  10. Store any left overs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 4 days to 2 weeks.

Saw how easy it is to make? Melt the chocolate you like the most, choose the toppings you have on hand and make it as colorful and fun as you wish. This makes a great gift specially during the holidays. The chocolate barks can be personalized for everyone in your list. Think colors, flavor combinations and eliminate things they won’t like or can’t eat like nuts if they are allergic. The best part of this chocolate is that it is gluten and nut free. I love it!

Guittard chocolate is gluten and nut free and my go to chocolate for when making treats for family and friends. You can't go wrong with amazing chocolate! Here is my Sweet and Salty Double Chocolate Bark, get the reicpe at www.mysweetzepol.com

Now, lets talk about the mystery ingredient I used. Bee pollen. Chemical analyses of bee pollen show that it is nutritionally diverse, primarily containing carbohydrates but also protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. At occasions I add about a teaspoon or so over my salad, over granola and even over ice cream.
