Every Wednesday we host a home group from church in our house. It mainly consists on 8-10 people. After the class we all gather around the kitchen table and eat some appetizers (bites size treats) and have coffee (lots of coffee). Everyone brings something they want to share with the rest of the group, this way not one person is responsible of the entire snacks or appetizers.

Milk-Chocolate-Shortbread-Cookie

Most of the time I bake something sweet. This past week the girls (my daughters) and I baked Milk Chocolate Shortbread Cookies, and they turned out to be better than I thought they would be. The cookies are not entirely home made, which is why I can’t take any credit on the recipe and it’s also why you won’t find the recipe here. This cookies were a gift from a dear friend of ours and it’s from a box mixture. Ghirardelli is the creator of this amazing cookie mix and if you are a big fan of Ghirardelli as I am, then you’ll love this Milk Chocolate Shortbread cookies.

If you can’t find the mix and wish to recreate them, use your favorite shortbread cookie recipe and add some Ghirardelli big chocolate chips. My tip is that you add the chocolate after the cookies are baked. Trust me I baked them both ways, once with the chocolate before baked and another time with the chocolate after the cookies had been baked and the difference is outstanding. Much creamer chocolate.

One of the things I love the most is the memories that are shared around the kitchen table in the company of great people, delicious food and good coffee (or drinks). Take advantage of those moments when they come your way, they are priceless!
