One of the seasons I love most is Strawberry season. They are found everywhere and at an amazing price too. I buy in bulks and freeze some of them for recipes that call for frozen fruits. Like smoothies, scones and sauces.
Berries Sauce
(Recipe by Wanda Lopez, My Sweet Zepol)Ingredients
6 ounces Raspberries
6 ounces Strawberries
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Water
Directions
Using a small sauce pot toss in the raspberries, strawberries, water and sugar.
Heat on medium heat.
Using a wooden spoon or potato masher to mash the berries while constantly stirring the sauce.
Note: Mix until the sauce starts to thicken, this process can take about 20 minutes. Depending on how thick you like your sauce. I like it thick.
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool before serving.
Top your favorite dishes with this sweet and tangy sauce. Anything from vanilla ice cream, parfait, cake or even a scrumptious slice of cheesecake. Take a look!

Me too.
I love the strawberry season too!
The consistency of the sauce looks good, you can notice it in the last picture, as the cheesecake is not drowning in a puddle.
Lex, thank you. The Berries Sauce was amazing. I loved the combination of raspberry and strawberry.
