Orange creamsicles is one classic summer treat. We have made this classic with a twist by making creamsicle cake bars. This post and recipe was created for #SummerDessertWeek! I was sent samples by some of the sponsor companies but as always opinions are 100% mine. Using easy tools to create the cakesicles and coating process.
Summer is all about making new memories with those we love and what better way to make memories than with dessert! These creamsicle cake bars are so much fun to make. They make great treats throughout the day and travel well. My kids brought some to share with their cousins during the weekend. I think they’ll want a dessert bar filled with creamsicle cake pops for their upcoming birthday. Maybe we can host a party sooner just to make cakesicles in all sort of flavors and colors combinations! How fun is that?
Creamsicle Cake Bars
The classical creamsicle flavor made with a twist into cake bars. These cakesicles are easy to make and so much fun! Creamsicle Cake Bars are the best summer dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 box Vanilla Cake Mix
- 8 ounces Orange Creme Candy Melts, from Wilton (8oz per 10 cakesicles)
- 4 ounces White Candy Melts, from Wilton
Instructions
- Make the cake using the box instructions.
- Make the cakesicles using a cakesicle machine. We got one as a gift a few months ago and love it!
- Cakesicles are made in batches (5 at a time), we made about 13-15 batches. That's a lot of cakesicles! YUM!
- Melt the candy melts. Use a DIY-Lish lollipop candy-making kit from Wilton to coat each cakesicle.
- Let them set and enjoy!
