The perfect spot to enjoy a brunch with friends. That was exactly what happened last weekend, a #BloggersWhoLunch time. A room filled with friends (both new and old), great food, amazing desserts, stories told from table to table and lots of laughter. Exactly what food and friends across a table should be; laughter, stories and empty plates. Here, let me share some of the dishes you can find at STK that we not only enjoyed, but took home with us too.
For starters we enjoyed LIL BRGs – wagyu beef topped with a special sauce and bedded between sesame seed buns. Each serving comes in three and you will devour them all.
Shaved Brussels Sprouts salad was a pleasant surprise. It was a combination of apple, cranberry, aged goat cheese and marcona almonds.
Another salad we enjoyed was a Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon with a red chile-honey dressing and dried jack cheese. Super refreshing.
For our main course we had a variety of options to choose from. For example – STK Salad, which is made with skirt steak, asian greens, pickled mango and peanuts. Crispy Mahi Mahi Sandwich, put together with prickled slaw, chili remoulade and potato bun.
Finally, and my choice, Filet Medallion with a red wine reduction.
For the sides we had asparagus with a hint of lemon and Parmesan truffle fries, yummy. Hungry already?
Wait!!! There’s dessert.
Starting Bag O’ Donuts with a dulce de leche filling and spiced chocolate & raspberry sauce. Followed by Orange Dream Cheesecake, bruleed oranges and a touch of whipped cream. When I tasted this dessert I was reminded of another dessert, cream brulee. So, for the record, if a cheesecake and creme brulee would have a baby it would be an Orange Dream Cheesecake. I can see it being my husband’s favorite STK dessert. Last but not least and my favorite is the Caramelito Bar, with cocoa nibs, marshmallow and chocolate bavarian. Yes, it’s as good as it sounds. I could eat this all day. Can you tell I am a dessert kinda girl?
